What we are watching going on at the U.S. Capitol is horrible! I am ashamed, embarrassed, and worried. Saddened and concerned about how we look to the rest of the world!
As our police work to restore peace, let's remember the police are trying to preserve the peace. I fear it will continue to devolve and violence will get worse.
Let's remember this while watching. Restoring peace will not be easy or look good on camera. We must support our police! Stand up for democracy, and the rule of law!
The DC Guard, as well as the VA and MD Guard, were activated. I just hope all who watch will not blame the police for doing their jobs. As is said, this too shall pass! I hope no one gets seriously hurt. A major embarrassment for our country
